- Hazel Berry Review added: 2018.07.16★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆On Easter Sunday a group of us went to The Queen's for a roast lunch. It was so good that we booked in for the following Sunday lunch and took along other family members. They were very impressed. It was warm in all the rooms and we had sufficient space to feel comfortable and able to enjoy our meal without being elbowed by neighbours.
The noise level was low but not funereal.
The roast meat was excellent. Both times there was a choice of pork or beef. There was a good selection of vegetables, not just the usual carrots and peas. The roast potatoes were very good. The portions were generous without being overfacing. There was a good selection of homecooked desserts which were delicious.
The meals are excellent value for the money, well cooked and unpretentious.
Can't wait for the next visit.
